This unique, 2008, 65-foot yacht, built by Independent Shipwrights in Coombs, BC., has a new lease on life with the dated Mercedes engines being replaced by a pair of Cummins QSB 6.7 and ZF 85a gears to match. With adjustments made to the supplied resilient engine mounts, the engines sound as good as they perform. And, the additional 3-4 knots of speed helps as well.
Further to the engine upgrades, a full GARMIN electronics upgrade package including, plotters, radars, cameras, auto pilot and transducers were installed. This, along with a Fusion stereo system, EFOY power cell, 400W of solar, new fridges and an upgraded davit will allow for years of enjoyable, safe boating.
